Well we got a little tied up launching a massive new social media initiative which caused us to miss the June newsletter. I’m proud to say Mike Allen’s AM Playbook picked up our social media work at RNC and cover the platform we’ve built.  You can read about it here.

Before we get to far into what has already happened, lets take a quick glimpse as what is about to happen. From Labor Day to Election Day in 2022, there was $1.3 BILLION dollars spent on IE, and there wasn’t even a presidential race. We expect to see numbers significantly higher than 2022 given the presidential, and the House and Senate could swing either way.  Labor Day to Election Day is 64 days, let that sink in, $1.3B spent in just 64 days.

Back to what happened in June and July; since we missed a month, the numbers below represent June and July.

$300,918,069.44 That’s how much was spent in June and July on IE.

Highest Amount on a Candidate:

$57,864,186.03 That’s amount spent on Donald Trump

$29,671,667.07 in support

$28,192,518.96 in opposition

Most Surprising Number:

$44,635,708.72 the amount spent on Kamala Harris in the first 8 days of her candidacy.

$28,074,091.22 in support of now Nominee Harris

$16,561,617.50 in opposition

Who spent all this money so fast?

$25,191,161.68 was spent by Future Forward supporting the new nominee

$16,327,181.50 was spent opposing by Preserve America PAC

Next was Biden but that’s not relevant anymore:

$16,983,878.52 total spent on Biden this time period

Now come the Senate races:

$83,981,373.65 spent on Senate Races in June and July

$22,676,503.24 spent on the PA Senate race

$15,647,470.40 spent on the MT Senate race

$8,406,301.56 spent on the AZ Senate race

$6,421,240.20 spent on the NV Senate race

These numbers are going to explode over the next 3 months.

$84,004,388.82 was spent on house races

$14,724,607.96 on MO-01

$12,709,425.14 on NY-16

$7,904,893.29 on MO-03

$8,095,084.69 the amount UDP (AIPAC) has spent trying to beat Cori Bush in MO-01

$7,904,893.29 the amount spent in the Republican primary for MO-03

$586,451.13 the amount spent supporting Justin Amash in the MI-Senate Primary
